Question 25

Suggest two impacts of climate change. You must use evidence from Figure 4a and Figure 4b in your answers.

Figure 4a: A photograph of a severely depleted reservoir in an agricultural area. The foreground shows deeply cracked, dry clay earth where water once flowed. In the background, a water-level measurement post stands completely dry, and nearby farming fields appear parched and yellow.

Figure 4b: Two maps comparing a low-lying coastal peninsula in 2010 and 2024. The 2010 map shows a wide sandy beach, a some forest buffer, and a coastal highway. The 2024 map shows that rising sea levels and intense wave action have submerged the forest, eroded more than half of the sandy beach, and washed away a 500-metre section of the highway.
