What the task tests
The proofreading task tests whether you can make deliberate decisions about writing and correct inaccuracies. It is not just a spelling test: you must show control of meaning, organisation, grammar, punctuation, spelling, vocabulary and register.

Start with the reading and comprehension skills for description, narration and exposition texts before tackling the more evaluation-heavy argumentation and persuasion unit, since technical accuracy in writing carries half the marks in each written unit.
