Question 318

What deserves a place?

A magazine for young people has room for only four features in its next issue. Some readers want practical advice they can use; others want stories that entertain, surprise or make them think.

Write an article for the magazine giving your views on what its editors should choose to publish. Consider the value of both kinds of feature and explain how the editors could make fair choices when they cannot include everything.

Your response will be assessed for communication and organisation, and for vocabulary, sentence structures, spelling and punctuation. The total includes 16 marks for vocabulary, sentence structures, spelling and punctuation.
