Testing the school chairs
Text: an original contemporary report-style practice extract.
A pupil panel tried two proposed chairs for the study room. One design could be stacked to clear the floor quickly; the other had a writing shelf attached to the arm. The panel liked the stacking chair’s light weight but found its seat uncomfortable after half an hour. The final trial therefore used cushions, which had not been present at the first session. Pupils recorded their comments anonymously. The school delayed ordering until staff had checked whether the cushions could be stored with the stacked chairs.
From the extract, identify two features of the stacking chair.
