In the reaction
Fe(s)+CuSO4(aq)→FeSO4(aq)+Cu(s) \text{Fe}(s) + \text{CuSO}_4(aq) \rightarrow \text{FeSO}_4(aq) + \text{Cu}(s) Fe(s)+CuSO4(aq)→FeSO4(aq)+Cu(s), the Cu2+\text{Cu}^{2+}Cu2+ ions become copper atoms, so the copper ions are reduced.
It splits into separate aqueous ions.
Loss of electrons.
