Group 7 and Physical Properties

Group 7 contains the halogens fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodine. They exist as diatomic molecules, meaning each molecule contains two atoms, such as Cl2\text{Cl}_2Cl2 or Br2\text{Br}_2Br2. Their reactivity decreases in the order fluorine > chlorine > bromine > iodine.
