What is a catalyst?

Rate of reaction tells you how quickly reactants become products. A common calculation is mean rate=quantity of product formedtime taken\text{mean rate} = \frac{\text{quantity of product formed}}{\text{time taken}}mean rate=time takenquantity of product formed. For gas reactions, rate is often measured in cm³/s.
