What is a business plan?
A business plan is divided into sections, and each section answers a different question about the proposed business. It helps the owner plan the business and gives lenders or investors evidence about whether the idea is viable. The main sections are the business idea, aims and objectives, target market, market research, marketing mix, people, premises and financial forecasts. Competitor analysis is a subsection of market research, not a separate main section.
