Two ways to reproduce
Two ways to reproduce
Sexual reproduction involves the fusion of male and female gamete nuclei. Each fertilisation event forms one zygote, which divides and develops into one offspring. Different offspring arise from separate fertilisation events involving different combinations of alleles in the gametes, so they may be genetically different from one another and from their parents.
