The nephron forms urine

The nephron forms urine

A nephron is a microscopic kidney tubule that filters blood and forms urine. It begins with a glomerulus, a tuft of capillaries enclosed by the cup-shaped Bowman's capsule. The filtrate then passes through a long tubule, including the loop of Henle, before entering a collecting duct. Collecting ducts carry urine towards the renal pelvis, the urine-collecting cavity inside the kidney.
