Lifestyle and disease risk

Lifestyle and disease risk

A non-communicable disease does not spread directly between organisms. It often develops slowly because of factors such as lifestyle, diet, genes or nutrient deficiency. Some non-communicable diseases can have pathogen-related causes or infectious risk factors, such as HPV-associated cervical cancer and hepatitis-associated liver cancer.
