A cat breeder crosses a male cat that is heterozygous for polydactyly (having extra toes), which is caused by an autosomal dominant allele (DDD), with a female cat that has a normal number of toes (dddddd).

Draw a Punnett square diagram to show this genetic cross. Use the following symbols:

  • DDD = dominant allele for polydactyly
  • ddd = recessive allele for normal toes
