A yeast cell has one short section of DNA removed from a chromosome. After this, the cell no longer makes protein X, but it continues to make other proteins.
Explain why removing this section of DNA stops the cell making protein X but does not stop it making other proteins. Use your knowledge of chromosomes and genes.
