Kinase Alpha and Kinase Beta are signalling proteins involved in regulating cellular survival and division in colorectal cancer cells. Most colorectal cancer cells produce both Kinase Alpha and Kinase Beta. Some patients have a genetic mutation that prevents their cancer cells from producing Kinase Beta.
