An ecological study was conducted to estimate the abundance of beadlet anemones (Actinia equina) in five rocky shore pools. At each pool, a marine biologist used a frame quadrat divided into 40 equal squares to estimate percentage cover. If a square contains any part of a beadlet anemone, it is counted as occupied.
