Psychologists are investigating how food delivery couriers cope with the stress of algorithmic management (such as automated route allocation, GPS tracking, and strict time windows). One proposed coping strategy is active engagement in unofficial online messaging groups and driver forums where workers share tips and offer mutual support. Researchers want to investigate this further using self-report methods to explore the specific online interactions couriers engage in and how this digital peer support influences their overall job satisfaction and daily stress levels.
