Academic pressure and social adaptation can significantly impact students' mental well-being when transitioning to university. In particular, there may be differences in how 'imposter syndrome' (the persistent inability to believe one's success is deserved) affects first-generation university students (the first in their family to attend university) compared to continuing-generation university students.
Researchers want to investigate this further using a semi-structured interview method to explore students' lived experiences of imposter syndrome.
