Posture is a major aspect of non-verbal communication. When meeting someone, how they carry themselves might alter our judgment of their personality. A group of social psychologists want to investigate the effect of posture on interpersonal perception. They design an experiment to compare the effects of an 'upright' posture versus a 'slouched' posture on how confident a person is perceived to be by observers.
