Some passengers appear highly anxious, pacing back and forth or repeatedly questioning gate staff, while others remain calm, reading, working on laptops, or sleeping. Researchers want to use a naturalistic observation method to investigate these coping strategies and find out if certain behaviours are more common than others among passengers experiencing flight delays.
