Distracted at Work!

Maintaining focus in an open-plan office can be highly challenging, and there are many behaviours that can break a worker's concentration. To investigate this, a psychologist used a self-report questionnaire to find out which single factor employees find most distracting in their working environment. Below is a table displaying the data collected from the 400 participants who took part in the study.

Table: Number of responses in each category when participants were asked to identify the most distracting behaviour in their office

Loud phone callsCluttered desksTemperature too hot/coldGossip/ChatterConstant emailsSlow computer systems
Male participants' responses322844364020
Female participants' responses481236522428

Calculate the overall percentage of participants who reported 'Loud phone calls' as being the most distracting. Show your workings.
