Researchers investigated whether there is an association between diet type and cardiovascular fitness in amateur runners. They sampled 60 participants, categorising them by diet type ('Plant-based' or 'Omnivorous') and their cardiovascular fitness level ('High Fitness' or 'Low Fitness') using a standardised VO2 VO_2\,VO2 max threshold.
