How accurately do design students assess their own creative output compared to the evaluation of industry professionals? To investigate this, a researcher asked eight industrial design interns at a design agency to rate their own creative problem-solving ability over the course of a placement on a scale of 1 (extremely poor) to 100 (exceptional). Their supervising lead designer was then asked to rate each intern's creative problem-solving ability using the same 1 to 100 scale. The results are presented in the table below.
