How accurately do we perceive our own traits compared to how our romantic partners perceive us? To investigate this, a psychologist asked ten cohabitating couples to participate in a study. One partner from each couple rated their own level of competitiveness on a scale of 1 ('not competitive at all') to 50 ('extremely competitive'). The other partner was then asked to rate them using the same 1 to 50 scale. The results are presented in the table below.
