A sports psychologist investigated the relationship between mindfulness practice and physiological stress recovery in competitive archers. A sample of ten archers recorded the average number of minutes they spent on deliberate meditation practice each week, MMM, over a two-month training period. At the end of the period, each archer completed a standardized physical stress test, and the psychologist measured the recovery time, RRR, in seconds, for their heart rate to return to its resting level. The data collected is shown in the table below.
| Archer | Weekly meditation time, MMM (minutes) | Recovery time to resting heart rate, RRR (seconds) |
|---|---|---|
| A | 120 | 60 |
| B | 45 | 190 |
| C | 75 | 140 |
| D | 10 | 280 |
| E | 90 | 120 |
| F | 105 | 105 |
| G | 30 | 220 |
| H | 100 | 90 |
| I | 20 | 250 |
| J | 140 | 270 |
