Perception of Workplace Assertiveness

Do employees perceive their own level of assertiveness in negotiations the same way their managers do? To investigate this, an occupational psychologist asked ten project managers to rate their own level of assertiveness on a scale of 0 ('completely passive') to 100 ('highly assertive'). The psychologist then asked each project manager's direct line manager to rate them using the same scale. The results are presented in the table below.
