How does the level of neighbourhood tree canopy coverage affect stress recovery? Environmental psychologists investigated this by measuring self-reported stress reduction after a 30-minute outdoor walk. Participants were recruited from two distinct areas: those living in High-Canopy Coverage (HCC) neighborhoods and those living in Low-Canopy Coverage (LCC) neighborhoods.
The data from the first fifteen respondents in each group are presented in the table below.
