Leo, a junior software developer, was attending his company's weekend wilderness retreat. He was eager to make a good impression, especially on Chloe and Sam, two highly respected senior developers in his department.

"I need you to do it now, Leo. The site manager is waiting and we need those tanks secured before the rain starts. Let's move," Marcus replied coldly.
Leo felt the sting of disappointment, but looking at Marcus's unyielding posture, he nodded, closed his laptop, and headed down to the shed.
Later that afternoon, the group gathered by the edge of a deep, freezing mountain lake. Chloe and Sam ran onto a high wooden pier, kicked off their shoes, and plunged into the icy water. Swimming back to the surface, Chloe shouted, "Your turn, Leo! Jump in! It's incredibly refreshing!"
Leo looked down at the dark, cold water. He hated freezing water and had no desire to jump in; on his own, he would never have even considered it. However, he looked at the senior colleagues he desperately wanted to respect him.
"Come on, Leo! Don't be a spoilsport!" Sam yelled from the water.
Dreading the thought of being excluded or labeled as "not a team player" by the senior developers, Leo took a deep breath, ran to the edge of the pier, and leaped into the freezing lake.
