Question 12

Dr. Aris wanted to investigate patient adherence to a new digital health coaching application designed for hypertension management. He compared patients from urban clinics with patients from rural clinics over a 6-month trial period.

He sampled:

  • 24 urban patients
  • 26 rural patients

At the end of the trial, Dr. Aris classified each patient's adherence level. Patients who logged their meals and blood pressure at least 5 days a week were classified as 'High Adherence', and those who logged less frequently were classified as 'Low Adherence'.

Complete Table 2 to calculate the chi-squared statistic (χ2\chi^2χ2) for Dr. Aris's data to two decimal places.
