Study of Victim Empathy

A forensic psychologist used a set of digital facial images depicting varying degrees of distress to assess empathy levels in a group of 12 young offenders before and after they attended a 45-minute victim-awareness workshop. Using a repeated measures design, all participants were tested both before and after the workshop using the exact same set of images.

Explain how two different sets of equivalent images could be used in this study and why this would be an improvement.
