Scenario
An educational psychologist designed an experiment to test the effects of background classical music on students' short-term memory recall. They recruited a sample of 25 undergraduate students and asked them to complete two computer-based word-recall tests. Both tests involved memorising a list of 20 three-syllable nouns shown on a screen for 60 seconds, followed by an immediate free-recall task.
