Scenario

A community health charity commissioned a researcher to investigate stress levels among remote call-centre agents. The researcher decided to run a pilot study focusing on employees in one telecommunications company.

The researcher aimed to assess the employees' feelings regarding daily monitoring targets and the availability of mental health breaks. They also wanted to gather ideas for how management could better support remote staff wellbeing.

The researcher designed a digital rating-scale questionnaire to collect this feedback. To ensure confidentiality, the researcher did not collect IP addresses or require employees to log in to complete the questionnaire. All participating agents completed the questionnaire at the start of their morning shift.

Question

The researcher ensured confidentiality by not collecting IP addresses or login details.
