Maya, Chloe and Priya were discussing whether or not to register for the upcoming regional debating competition.

Maya said: "I'm unlikely to win; the judges are notoriously unpredictable and I don't feel lucky today anyway."

Chloe said: "That's not true; we have both spent hours researching the arguments and practicing our delivery. Our success is entirely down to our own preparation."

Priya told Maya and Chloe that if they signed up then she would, but if they decided to go home, she would do the same.
