Scenario: Sofia and Marcus

Sofia and Marcus are both going through different stages of a relationship breakdown.

Sofia says: "I can't stand how lazy he has become, and every little thing he does irritates me now. I haven't said anything to him yet, but I keep lying awake at night re-evaluating our entire future together and wondering if I'd be happier on my own."

Marcus says: "We've reached a point where we can't solve this between ourselves, so I've started talking to my family and close friends about our issues. They are giving me advice, and some are taking sides, which makes it feel like there is no going back now."

Referring to Sofia's and Marcus's comments, outline two phases of relationship breakdown proposed by Duck.
