Question 2

Discuss research into hemispheric lateralisation and/or localisation of function in the brain. Refer to Chloe and Jamal's discussion in your answer.

Chloe and Jamal's discussion

Chloe reads an online article and tells Jamal, "I've just done a personality test, and it turns out I am completely 'right-brained' because I'm so creative."

"I don't think it's that simple," replies Jamal. "No one is just 'right-brained'. The two sides of the brain are constantly communicating, and complex creative skills need the whole brain to work together."

Chloe responds, "But the article says it's scientific! It says the right hemisphere is specialised for spatial awareness, music, and face recognition."
