Skateboarding Clinic Scenario

At a community youth centre, instructors hosted a "Skate & Create" weekend to encourage local teenagers to take up skateboarding and active outdoor hobbies. The event featured live demonstrations of different tricks in the indoor bowl.

Two of the instructors discussed their sessions afterward.

Instructor Leo said, "My session went amazingly! I'm the local pro champion, and all the kids have my posters on their walls. When I landed the kickflip over the high ramp, the crowd went wild and the sponsors handed me a brand new custom deck. The kids were chanting my name; they'll definitely be trying that trick at the park."

Instructor Brenda replied, "Easy for you, Leo. You're the trendy, sponsored skater everyone wants to be. During my turn, I slipped on a wet patch, fell flat on my face, and split my trousers. The kids winced in absolute secondary embarrassment. I've probably terrified them of ever stepping on a board!"

Apart from mediational processes, use your knowledge of social learning theory to explain Instructor Leo's and Instructor Brenda's comments.
