Question 12

A health psychologist wanted to investigate whether a 4-week daily mindfulness meditation app intervention increases subjective well-being. A sample of 15 participants rated their well-being on a scale from 1 (very low) to 20 (very high) both the day before starting the intervention and the day after completing the 4-week course. The psychologist hypothesized that the well-being scores would be significantly higher after the meditation intervention than before.

  • descriptive statistics that could be used to analyse the data
  • the significance level
