Understanding Human Hostility

Some psychologists argue that aggressive behaviour is hardwired into our genetic makeup, passed down from our evolutionary ancestors. Others suggest that children learn to be aggressive by copying violent role models or being rewarded for fighting in school. There are also theorists who believe our adult hostility stems from unresolved childhood conflicts hidden deep within the unconscious mind.
