Scenario
The Oakwood Police District is implementing a new digital identification system. Under this system, eyewitnesses view short video clips of individual suspects sequentially (one at a time) on a secure tablet. This replaces the old method where the suspect and several foils stood shoulder-to-shoulder in a physical lineup room. The Lead Investigator is preparing a training brief for officers on the cognitive benefits of this change.
Using the scenario above and your knowledge of psychology, explain one advantage of this new identification procedure.
