Read the following scenario:

Mr Vance is introducing a science lesson on displacement. He shows 5-year-old Clara and her classmates a wide beaker filled with water. He then pours the water into a tall, thin cylinder. Clara insists there is now more water in the cylinder because "it is much higher". When her older brother, 9-year-old Leo, sees this, he laughs and says, "It's the same amount of water, it's just a different shape."
