Scenario: Arlo and Zara

Two relatives are discussing how young children, Arlo and Zara, identify flying objects.

• Arlo's uncle says: 'Arlo loves playing with his toy helicopter. But last week, when he saw a drone flying in the park, he pointed at it and shouted "Chopper!" He seems to think anything that flies with spinning blades is a helicopter.'
• Zara's aunt says: 'Zara used to call drones "helicopters" too, but now she knows the difference. She knows that helicopters have a cockpit for a pilot and make a very loud thumping noise, whereas drones are small, pilotless, and make a buzzing sound. She uses the correct term for each now.'
