A researcher shows two children, Leo (aged 3) and Maya (aged 5), a closed tin labelled 'Sweets'. The researcher then opens the tin to reveal that it actually contains pencils. The researcher closes the tin and asks both children what another child, who has not yet seen inside the tin, will think is inside.
