Gravity is universal

Gravity is universal

Two spherical masses with centres marked, centre to centre distance r, and equal gravitational force arrows pointing toward each other

Gravity acts between any two masses in the universe, so it is called a universal attractive force. For many problems, uniform spherical bodies can be treated as point masses, with the mass acting as if it were concentrated at the centre.
