For positive integer nnn, why does the binomial expansion terminate?

To expand (9+x)1/2(9+x)^{1/2}(9+x)1/2 near x=0x=0x=0, rewrite it as 3(1+x9)1/2\boxed{3\left(1+\frac{x}{9}\right)^{1/2}}3(1+9x​)1/2​.
