Two blocks P P\,P of mass 4 kg and Q Q\,Q of mass 6 kg are connected by a light inextensible string. The string passes over a smooth pulley fixed at the top of a rough inclined plane. The plane is inclined at an angle of 25∘ 25^\circ\,25∘ to the horizontal. Block P P\,P lies on the plane and Q Q\,Q hangs freely from the pulley with the string taut. Block P P\,P is released from rest and accelerates up the plane at 1.5 ms-2.

a.

Find the tension in the string

[3]
b.

Find the coefficient of friction between P P\,P and the plane

[3]
c.

Find the force exerted on the pulley by the string

[3]
