For example, sin⁡x=1/2\sin x = 1/2sinx=1/2 has solutions x=π/6x = \pi/6x=π/6 and x=5π/6x = 5\pi/6x=5π/6 in the interval 0≤x≤2π0 \le x \le 2\pi0≤x≤2π. Here, π/6\pi/6π/6 is the acute reference angle, while 5π/65\pi/65π/6 is the standard-position angle in quadrant II.
