Two particles A A\,A and BBB, of masses 4 kg and 6 kg respectively, are connected by a light inextensible string passing over a smooth fixed pulley.

The particles hang freely with the string vertical on both sides of the pulley.

The system is released from rest with the string taut, with A A\,A resting on horizontal ground and B B\,B hanging 2 metres above the ground, as shown in the diagram below.

Find the speed of B B\,B at the instant it reaches the ground.

After B B\,B reaches the ground, A A\,A continues to move upwards freely. Find the further height risen by A A\,A before it comes to instantaneous rest.
