Recognising a geometric sequence

A sequence is geometric if each term is obtained by multiplying the previous term by the same fixed number. This fixed number is the common ratio, rrr, and for consecutive terms unu_nun​ and un+1u_{n+1}un+1​, r=un+1unr=\frac{u_{n+1}}{u_n}r=un​un+1​​.
