What a vector is

What a vector is

A vector is an ordered collection of components, all taken from the same field, usually the real numbers. The vector [2.0,3.14159,−1.0,2.718281828][2.0, 3.14159, -1.0, 2.718281828][2.0,3.14159,−1.0,2.718281828] has four components, so it is a vector in R4\mathbb{R}^4R4.
