Unsigned and signed binary
Binary integers use place value in base 2, and the leftmost bit is the most significant bit, or MSB. For example, 001011012=32+8+4+1=4500101101_2 = 32 + 8 + 4 + 1 = 45001011012=32+8+4+1=45 because only those place-value columns contain 1s.
