What the mole measures
Amount of substance, symbol nnn, tells us how many specified entities are present. The entities could be atoms, molecules, ions or electrons. One mole contains 6.02×10236.02 \times 10^{23}6.02×1023 entities, called the Avogadro constant, L=6.02×1023 mol−1L = 6.02 \times 10^{23} \, \text{mol}^{-1}L=6.02×1023mol−1.
